What do you do for Pitt Tonight?
I am the Head Producer
Who is your favorite late night personality? Why?
Conan O’Brian mainly because of his sarcastic and egocentric personality. His pre-filmed material includes these hilarious gags that require awkward situations that he just embraces with open arms.
What is the funniest thing you have seen on Pitt's campus?
My freshman year contained most of the hilarious moments of my college career. One in particular included when I was in an astronomy class early on. My professor taught us Newton’s laws of gravity. It was fairly rudimentary but he was applying it to planets and what not. The last law he exclaimed that he had to go in the back room for a minute to prepare. Dumbfounded, we looked at each other for a few minutes while we waited for our absent professor to come back. All of a sudden, we hear a loud hissing noise and saw our professor come out on a gas powered scooter with a poorly placed helmet on his head and crashed into his podium. He fell off, removed his helmet, and addressed the class saying, “and that’s Newton’s third law.”
What are your hopes for Pitt Tonight?
I have many hopes for Pitt Tonight, but mainly I hope it to be the start of a larger film community for Pitt. I hope that all the groups on campus will form together into one group so not only can all modes of production be addressed, but so that also it can provide a production learning environment until a production program is incorporated in the film curriculum.
