Member Spotlight — Jenny Mountz

Year/Major: Sophomore planning on majoring in Ecology and Evolution.

Where are you from?

I was born in Birmingham Alabama, but moved to Fox Chapel, which is just outside Pittsburgh, around 14 years ago.

What do you do for Pitt Tonight?

For Pitt Tonight, I play the trumpet in the house band.

Who is your favorite late night personality? Why?

My favorite late night personality would be Jimmy Fallon since the Tonight Show is really the only one I've watched—I had actually never seen any late night show until after I joined Pitt Tonight and a couple of the other band members sent me some clips and we watched them in Market one night after a band rehearsal.

What is the funniest thing you have seen on Pitt's campus?

One time I saw someone wearing a onesie and riding a scooter to class on one of the last days of the fall semester and it more funny how that's like somewhat normal to do in college- especially before exams.

What are your hopes for Pitt Tonight?

I hope to see it grow on a national level. I'm really proud of what we do and I want others to recognize us. It'd be really cool to see other colleges looking at us and then maybe even starting their own tonight shows! Also I hope eventually Jimmy Fallon uses one of our mugs on his show.

Perch! The quality is worth the climb and you don't get distracted with so many options!

I went my whole freshman year only getting pizza once and I don't remember which one it was so I think I'll with the one with better reviews on Google: Antoon's!
